An analysis of several ISKO regional chapters was carried out; a detailed review of internationally standardized requirements, as well as modifications in the constitution and dissolution of chapters. These elements are regulated in the “Charter and Preamble of the International Society for the Organization of Knowledge” of 1989 and in the “General Statutes for the regional chapters”, published in 1993. The objective was to design a proposal for a Cuban chapter of the International Society for Knowledge Organization. The method used was documentary analysis and document review as a technique, used to review the documents of mandatory consultation in this field, in addition to the constituent documents of 15 regional chapters. As a result, the Cuban ISKO-CU proposal is presented, a project that, based on its postulates, will promote scientific research, innovation and the dissemination of knowledge. The design of the Cuban chapter of the International Society for the Organization of Knowledge: ISKO-CU has several areas in its design, such as: training, objectives, legal establishment, organization, administration and operation; activity; modifications to the constitution and dissolution. It complies with the standards established in the governing documents on the subject and aims to enhance the development of the organization of knowledge in its geographical area.
