The aim of this research was to build the OrientaEnf application, focused on health education for nursing workers. Firstly, a cross-sectional study was carried out to identify the risks, demands and damage to health related to nursing work. At this stage, data was collected in three cities in Alagoas, Brazil, during the COVID-19 pandemic, using an individual questionnaire. In the second stage, guidelines for transforming risks and demands, as well as for preventing damage to health, were developed and validated with the four Cerest’s in Alagoas. Once the content had been defined, the app was developed as a proposal to complement educational activities in the area of nursing workers’ health. The conclusion is that activities to promote health and prevent damage to workers’ health should be based on the work process, its risks and demands, and not limited to possible illnesses.
