Clinical information systems, as well as electronic clinical records, have been very important support tools for information management within the current COVID-19 pandemic. However, many hospitals and health centers in Latin American and Caribbean countries still do not have digitized clinical information systems, which has been a challenge for the management of the pandemic. The objective of this letter is to share the experience of the implementation of an information system in the III Regional Hospital Honorio Delgado (HRHD), of Arequipa, one of the largest of the Ministry of Health in southern Peru.Downloads
