Document identification about COVID-19 and experiences at the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic of Cuba

Abstract

The Office of the Attorney General of the Republic has played an important role in relation to COVID-19. This institution has generated a large number of archival documents reflecting its actions in response to the pandemic. The purpose of the study was to present the results of a document identification effort concerning the response to and prevention of COVID-19 at the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic. The identification started from 11 elements related to document management, for which an analysis was performed of the documents corresponding to the months of April and May 2020. The weaknesses found in relation to document management were revealed, which will contribute to improve organizational work at the Office.
