Competencias digitales en médicos para mejorar el servicio de telesalud de un hospital de la sierra del Perú, 2023

La telesalud constituye una estrategia clave para garantizar la continuidad y el acceso a la atención sanitaria, particularmente en contextos geográficos complejos como la sierra del Perú. No obstante, su implementación efectiva demanda condiciones adecuadas de infraestructura tecnológica y el desarrollo de competencias digitales en el personal médico. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar el nivel del servicio de telesalud desde la perspectiva del médico teleconsultor, con la finalidad de sustentar la propuesta de un programa estructurado de competencias digitales médicas en un hospital de la sierra peruana. Se desarrolló un estudio cuantitativo, no experimental, de corte transversal y alcance descriptivo propositivo. La población estuvo conformada por 41 médicos que realizaron teleconsultas durante el período 2020-2022, y se trabajó con muestreo censal. Se aplicó un cuestionario estructurado de 29 ítems en escala Likert de cinco puntos, validado mediante juicio de expertos y con alta confiabilidad (α = 0,96). Los resultados evidenciaron que más del 50 % de los participantes percibieron el servicio como regular o bajo, y se identificaron limitaciones en accesibilidad, privacidad, seguridad y satisfacción general. En conclusión, las brechas identificadas en la prestación del servicio fundamentan la propuesta de un programa estructurado de competencias digitales médicas, orientado a fortalecer la calidad de la telesalud en contextos geográficos complejos.
